Rust in peace

Fast forward to 1985 when I had a terrible accident in a combine on our farm that left me with back issues for years until 2016 when I could not take it anymore. So many parts, bodies and frames were saved in my area from my efforts back in those years that I could not even come close to giving out a number. I just wish so many times I had taken more pictures back then instead of just hauling them home to save them. As time went on I was always conning my older brothers into helping me haul something home in one of their pickups that I had found until I finally got my own truck. By the time I was in junior high I had my own motorcycle that I was forever running around going back to those places to see just what was there and if they were worth saving. The love of those rusty relics and the settings surrounding them was something I knew needed to be preserved in more than just my memory. In doing so, I started spotting old cars and trucks sitting all over, down in ravines along river banks etc. We would drive out in big pastures and through vacant farmyards to get out in the fields to look for coyotes. This really started sometime in the early 70’s when I would have been around 10 years old going coyote hunting with my Dad and my 3 older brothers in south central Nebraska where I grew up.
